Perhaps the most memorable events in 2005 have so far been the following:

• Tsunami help: Volunteerism spirit came to the fore when volunteers organised a fund-raising walk in aid of the survivors of the tsunami in January 2005 (see details)

• A Dog's Life: In March, volunteers gathered to improve facilities provided to the dogs accommodated in RSPCA ground in Serbithang (see details)

• TV Appearances: From June 2005, BBS has been broadcasting special interviews with various volunteers (national and international) working in Bhutan, on its TV and radio network from 8.30 p.m. each Friday evening.
