The RSPCA aims to promote a sense of moral responsibility for the proper care & humane treatment of any and all animals through increasing awareness on the plight of animals & education on proper animal care by way of demonstration and information dissemination. RSPCA started working in Bhutan in 1999, and by 2001 had 45-50 serving volunteers. In 2002 on 17th March the Animal Center at Serbithang was inaugurated. RSPCA's principle activities have been Sterilisation & anti-rabies campaign to control the increasing dog population; treatment of various diseases and injuries, vaccination and feeding of dogs an d treatment & care of other animals. |
