The
RSPN aims to inspire personal responsibility and actively involve
the people of Bhutan in the conservation of the Kingdom's environment
through education, applied research and information dissemination;
and collaboration with concerned agencies and indigenous institutions.
RSPN started in 1987, and as of 2001, had 80 RSPN individual members,
78 RSPN Nature clubs in schools and training institutes comprising
students and trainees. Principle activities include: Species conservation
and community development; Environment education; Clean up campaign;
Plastic use and disposal campaign; Vehicle emission survey; Various
environmental awareness program by RSPN nature clubs in schools
and institutions throughout Bhutan. |
