VAST
was established in 1998 by a group of working artists. The artists
are from various backgrounds: water colourists, oil painters,
designers, photographers, traditional artists etc. The association
is essentially an Art Guild with the explicit mission to promote
the importance and value of art.
Its goal is to guide
and assist young artists to explore their full potential. In
this way VAST hopes to nurture the creative talents of the Bhutanese
youth. Its program is open to all art enthusiasts, young or
old.
